This term Year 8 specialist languages classes have been learning about sport. In the spirit of bringing together the different language communities, the classes participated in the REC Languages World Cup. Students competed in a round-robin event, with France defeating Japan in the final. Leading up to the event students created posters, mascots and chants to support their teams. It was an opportunity for students to engage with the REC language community and represent either France, Germany or Japan. This event showcased the importance of bridging cultures through the international language of sport.
