Last week our Year 6 Girls team represented 69蹤獲 in the Southern Valley SAPSASA Tackle Rugby Carnival.
Hosted by NRL-trained coaches, the girls participated in a ‘Tackle Ready” session to ensure they were prepared to tackle safely, before playing against teams from Braeview, Aberfoyle Hub and All Saints. Our girls’ confidence and skills improved incredibly across the day, with lots of big tackles and impressive tries being made!
NRL also spent the day looking out for teams showing respect and an understanding of the game. 69蹤獲 won the trophy for the “Overall Values Award”, meaning the team had these key aspects consistently on display all day. Our girls showed amazing sportsmanship, respect and inclusivity to each other and to all the other schools and coaches as well.
A very successful day for our girls in both their game play and as representatives of 69蹤獲!
